The Worklife Review
Intelligence for the examined working life
The Worklife Review is a publication about work, life, and the long project of building a career you can stand behind. We report and reflect on intelligence for the examined working life: how people find work that fits, how they get unstuck, and how they make the everyday hours add up to something they mean.
Who publishes this
The Worklife Review is published by Pigment. We say that here, on the record, because you deserve to know who stands behind what you read. We are not a neutral third party pretending to have no stake, and we are not an anonymous content mill. We are a real editorial team, and our bills are paid by Pigment.
This is a long-standing model for owned media done honestly. Mailchimp publishes Courier. Red Bull publishes The Red Bulletin. American Express built OPEN Forum. In each case a company funds a genuine publication, gives it a real editorial voice, and is open about the relationship. That is exactly what this is. The name on the masthead is ours; the company behind it is Pigment, and we do not hide it.
What we promise
Independent voice, honest backing. Our editorial judgment is our own: we choose the stories, we write them straight, and we do not dress up advertising as reporting. When a piece leads you toward one of Pigment’s assessments, it will be clear that is what is happening. We would rather earn your attention than borrow it under a false name.
Where Pigment fits
Pigment makes career and self-assessment tools that help people understand how they work and what work suits them. Some of our stories point to those assessments when they are the honest next step for a reader who wants to go deeper on themselves. That is how this publication is funded, and telling you so is part of the deal.
